Our approach to this unique, high quality residential development in Cornwall was that building at scale need not compromise the integrity of design and detail.  As a result, the eight family homes have a range of subtle touches that have enabled the residents to personalise their new homes from an early stage.

The development evolved around two varying house types and their thoughtful placement on the masterplan has enhanced the overall appearance and cohesion of this new urban neighbourhood.

Creative use of materials and textures complements the high quality of design and gives the houses a distinctive, timeless appeal.  Dark, Roman-style horizontal brickwork at ground floor level complements the grey glazing and trims, whilst the clean lines and smooth finish of the white render at first floor level provide a striking contrast.

Internally, the open-plan family living spaces open out to private gardens at the rear.  An open-tread, feature staircase leads up to the generous bedrooms, including some with ensuite bathrooms.  A ‘pop out’ family bathroom adds another element of interest to the external façade, whilst increasing the utility of the space.  Corner windows, glazed Juliet balconies and floor to ceiling windows contribute to the overall feeling of light and spaciousness.

The houses are exceptionally thermally efficient and underfloor heating and solar thermal panels provide free hot water all year round.
