This contemporary beach house extension and reconfiguration transformed a compact bungalow into a split-level family home benefitting from stunning sea views.

Adapting and altering the existing house resulted in a unified and enhanced home that delivered the open plan family living space and additional bedroom and functional spaces our clients were seeking.

A carefully crafted zinc-clad extension integrates with the existing building and surrounding area, whilst providing a robust structure capable of withstanding the harsh maritime climate.

Making the most of the light and the aspect, floor to ceiling windows in the ground floor main reception room are softened with smaller panes of glass and detailing and connect the house with the seascape beyond.

A new light and airy master bedroom at lower ground floor level was created, and thoughtful reorganisation of the original structure has provided a study for home-working and cloakroom and utility spaces.
