The Bazeley Partnership are pleased to announce that we have a total of six projects as regional finalists in the highly prestigious South West LABC Building Excellence Awards 2020.
The LABC Building Excellence Awards focus on the very best in technical innovation and construction quality, helping to raise the level of construction quality across England and Wales.

Best Small Commercial Project Regional Finalist
As part of a ten year masterplan at The Carbis Bay Hotel, The Bazeley Partnership have been involved with the creation of 6 beach-side holiday lodges. Each of the lodges has been finished and furnished to a luxurious standard and offers outstanding leisure accommodation and facilities
The Hide
Best Individual New Home Regional Finalist
The Hide is a stunning replacement dwelling elevated above a popular local nature reserve near the North Cornwall coast.
The new dwelling design evolved around a central core with two wings responding to site context by angling the wing elements outwards away from the core, allowing the occupiers to experience and take in the panoramic views over the nature reserve and wider landscape.
Langfield Gardens
Best Small New Housing Development Regional Finalist
The ambition of Langfield Gardens was to create an outstanding contemporary energy effecient and healthy development, providing eight high-quality detached dwelling positioned around a central shared access space, in a prime location within the popular North Cornwall town of Bude.
The external material pallete incorporates dark Roman-style brickwork to add texture and contrast
Pentewan Sands Amenity Building
Best Small Commercial Project Regional Finalist
This replacement amenities building at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park represents exemplary high quality and robust facilities to accentuate the Holiday Park’s status as a 5* VisitEngland destination.
A key ambition was to provide future-proof facilities, to be inclusive for all potential users. The amenities comprise: six unisex private ‘family rooms’, two of which are suitable for less-ambulant users; male and female changing rooms, comprising three showers and WC’s; two external wetsuit showers; and three external covered washing-up basins.
The Fort
Best Individual New Home Regional Finalist
This new dwelling replaced a former cottage which was in need of major renovation and conversion, after consideration it was clear that the way forward was to demolish the existing cottage and construct a modern family home. So The Fort offered a rare opportunity to sensitively re-develop the site with a contemporary family home, one that respects site and place, against the stunning backdrop of the Camel Estuary.
The overriding design philosophy was to create a dwelling that captures the spirit of place and of the original building whilst taking advantage of the views along the estuary and out to sea.
