Homer Park Farm, Port Isaac
Homer Park Farm is an ongoing project in Port Isaac, for which our Architects secured planning permission in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Planning permission was granted for a 660 sqm house to move more than 10 metres from its current site, affording the owners better privacy and opportunity to create a new home.
The new farmhouse-style dwelling will feature dramatic oak frame glazing to the gable end with a glass balcony on the first floor providing a platform on three sides of the home to take full enjoyment of the views across the AONB. Additionally, the property will have an external heated swimming pool with pavillion and a private garden and courtyard.
Through the planning phase, we negotiated for the diversion of a public footpath and right of way, whilst still ensuring that there was no loss of a countryside route for local walkers and ramblers. The new paths were moved some 40 metres from the site of the new farmhouse.
