Planning consent for extension to The Elements Hotel, Bude!
We’ve received planning consent for an extension on this popular Italian restaurant located in Widemouth Bay, Bude. The proposal accommodates a larger eating space, therefore making use of the vast plot and iconic views over the bay and neighbouring countryside.
Justifiably within TripAdvisor’s Top 10 Best Restaurants in Bude, The Elements Cafe Bar and Restaurant is also a highly-rated boutique hotel. With some of the best sea views around, there aren’t many who wouldn’t be delighted to wake up here.
Complementing the current vernacular style and semi-rural location of the property, these designs are contemporary. Some features include a zinc mono-pitch roof, glazed facade and timber hit and miss cladding.
This extension incorporates the natural beauty of wood materials. The darkened timber brings the bright white of the original building and grey roof together. Combined, they work well as a palette of colours and textures.
We’ve blended modern yet environmentally friendly processes, choosing to use Kebony timber. This Norweigan company respectfully produce their materials to be maintenance-free, sustainable and more beautiful year upon year. In their words, this is because it “ages with dignity”. We believe its long-lasting durability is the perfect choice for this coastal location.
These materials pay homage to the Cornish, coastal surroundings of Widemouth Bay. Additionally, the high-quality specification gives The Elements Hotel the air of class it deserves.
