Planning approval for replacement dwelling in Mawgan Porth
Meaning “House on a slope” in Cornish, Chy Ryn, in Mawgan Porth, is one of our current projects having received planning approval for a replacement dwelling.
Replacing an existing building could be perceived as more challenging than that of starting from scratch. Not only does it need to exude the “wow factor”, it needs to be better than what was there before. A challenge the team were happy to undertake for this 5 bedroom dwelling in Mawgan Porth.
Known for it’s Sunday Times award-winning beach, Mawgan Porth is the perfect spot for those looking to relax, enjoy some family time or explore the Cornish coastline. Surrounded by idyllic settings, with larger towns and necessities close to hand, its location is attractive to many. Both Padstow and Newquay. are less than 30 minutes away.
Working with the iconic views over Mawgan Porth Beach and the dramatic cliff line to the south of the house, the team have created these open plan living spaces, with the entrance hall and living rooms on split levels. Separating the two is a double-height space, inclusive of bridges to form the connection. Thanks to the CGI design from our in-house use of our Autodesk REVIT CAD software package, you can envisage what the finished product will look like.
