Maer Barn Conversion under Construction by The Bazeley Partnership Architects in Cornwall

Medieval Barn Conversion featured on More4’s Homes by the Sea

Architects at The Bazeley Partnership were delighted when we were approached by Channel 4 to be included in the new series of Homes by the Sea with Charlie Luxton on More4.

They were interested in featuring our stunning Medieval Barn Conversion in Bude, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the sea. After coming to visit the property and having a good look around, the producers chose Maer Barn to be included in the Cornwall episode of the series. Both the client and our architects were very proud to be chosen and very excited to see the barn on the TV!

Maer Barn is one of only a handful of examples of 14th century design for agricultural buildings, so it was very important to all involved to save and restore the Grade II* listed medieval tithe barn. Planning permission was successfully achieved by The Bazeley Partnership for the barn to be converted into a contemporary family home.

The original episode was aired back at the end of September 2015, however you can still view the episode online here.
