Locks Ride, Ascot

An innovative, modernist, ‘white box’ design for a new 5 bedroom home; Locks Ride is a distinctive and inspiring brief for a new family home, set in a traditional tree-lined avenue in sub-urban Ascot, Berkshire.

The great advantage of this white box design philosophy is the flexibility with which internal spaces can be arranged and used as they are freed from the geometries of a traditional roof form. The house is well shielded from the main road, but opens out at the rear to a lovely matured garden.

  • The scheme that the team at Bazeley has designed not only reflects our ambition to create homes which are distinctive, contemporary and serves 21st century living but is also testament that great quality design can prevail in the face of opposition. Our project in Royal Ascot, is set to raise the standard of residential design, which takes references from the best of the modernist 1930s era translated into an exciting visual language for modern living. The positive decision delivered by the Planning Inspectorate is a landmark one and we're really looking forward to working with Bazeley to deliver the project.
