    Martin is the Practice Director and takes a leading role in project management. He joined the Bazeley Partnership in 2005 with an award-winning track record in architecture.

    He is passionately committed to the collaborative process of making high quality architecture and realising the vision and aspirations of our clients. Martin qualified from Plymouth University and Exeter College, and is also a conservation specialist. With over 30 years experience in practice and working with other practices and consultants, Martin has designed and developed a variety of projects from residential to commercial property, leisure facilities and conservation work. He is also a Visiting Practitioner at the University of Plymouth’s School of Architecture.

  • Mark Roberts
    Mark Roberts Chartered Architect and Associate

    BSc, Dip Arch RIBA

    A graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture and a Chartered RIBA Architect, Mark has worked on commercial, residential, community and educational projects.

    Mark has worked in London, for specialists in residential, commercial and conservation Architecture, and for 3D Reid in Glasgow on two PFI Schools for Kinross and Perthshire Local Authorities. Since joining the Bazeley Partnership, Mark has been Project Architect for the multiple award-nominated Exmouth RNLI Station, and has created many innovative designs for residential clients, focusing on sustainable design elements, with an interest in Passivhaus principles.

     

  • Rob Grieve
    Rob Grieve Senior Architectural Technologist and Associate

    HNC, ONC Building Studies

    A Senior Architectural Technologist with over twenty years’ experience on an extensive range of architectural and structural engineering projects, Rob has worked in Structural and Civil Engineering companies and for an Architects’ Journal top 100 practice for Ian Penrose.

    He was the project technologist for the practice’s LABC award winning dwelling, ‘The Sea House’ Lusty Glaze Newquay in 2010 and our St. Mewan School Extension LABC shortlist finalist. Rob is currently project lead/technologist on several major projects for the practice working from concept to detailed, technical design and construction through to project completion. Rob has the ability to visualise, technically design your construction projects, and design aspirations in 3D utilising the practice’s Autodesk AutoCad Architecture software platform.

  • Stephen Dunne
    Stephen Dunne Architectural Technologist

    BSc (Hons) Product Design, HNC Building Studies, ACIAT

    Stephen Dunne is an Architectural Technologist who studied at Preston and Liverpool Universities to obtain his BSc (Hons) in Product Design and HNC in Building Studies. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. (ACIAT)

    He gained experience & knowledge at several commercial practices in the North-west working on a broad range of commercial, residential, historic and listed building projects. After 12 years of working in the city he chose the dynamic environment of North Cornwall in which to live and work.

     

     

  • Timothy Simmons
    Timothy Simmons Architectural Technologist

    BA (Hons) Architectural Technology

    Tim recently completed his BA (Hons) in Architectural Technology with the Environment at the University of Plymouth gaining a 2:1. He was the recipient of the CIOB Large and Innovative Building ‘Design & Build’ Project 2012 Award and is a student member of the CIOB and CIAT.

    Tim previously worked at the Practice during his year out as Student Technician and we’re delighted to welcome him back. Tim’s architectural interests include sustainability in the built environment.

  • Matthew Clark
    Matthew Clark Part II Architect

    BA(Hons) Arch M.Arch (Dist) CEPH

    Matthew completed his BA(Hons) Architecture degree at the University of Portsmouth and his Master of Architecture degree at the University of Plymouth, where he was awarded the 2013/14 RIBA South West Prize for Outstanding Work and has since spent time undertaking research into daylighting levels with residential projects.
    Having previously worked on a number of residential projects throughout Devon and Cornwall, Matthew joined The Bazeley Partnership in 2017 as a Part II Architect and is currently progressing towards becoming a Chartered Architect.

    Matthew has an interest in sustainable and low-energy design, and is a Certified European Passivhaus Designer (CEPH).

  • Tokini Kent
    Tokini Kent Part I Architectural Assistant

    BA Arch

    Tokini joined us in the summer of 2016 and recently completed her BA Architecture degree at the University of Dundee. She is with us on her placement year in preparation for her Part II and Masters degree.

    Tokini aspires to gain experience working closely with clients to create high quality, bespoke architecture, whilst also building her knowledge of construction and detailing. After a trip to Costa Rica where she lived without running water or electricity she has an avid interest in sustainable architecture. Other interests include architectural conservation and carefully working with listed buildings.

  • Richard Church
    Richard Church Chartered Architect and Consultant

    MA Dip Arch (Cantab) RIBA

    Richard joined The Bazeley Partnership in 1972 after Engineering and Architecture Degrees and a Diploma at Cambridge. He also rowed for Cambridge University. He is a Chartered RIBA Architect and Consultant to the practice, having been a partner since 1976.

    Over his 40 year career he has developed a strong specialism in ecclesiastical buildings and conservation projects, including the CPRE/RIBA award-winning £2,000,000 re-building of Newquay Church following a fire. He has been a Consultant to the National Trust for major county properties, an expert witness in court on behalf of clients for building regulation disputes, and is highly experienced in working with planning appeals.

     

  • Brian Slingsby
    Brian Slingsby Principal Designer

    DipArch (Hull) (Commendation)

    Having had a 35 year career as an Architect, Brian is now trained and practising solely as a Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015. Brian consults with The Bazeley Partnership on all matters relating to the CDM Regulations 2015.

  • Sonia Blair
    Sonia Blair PA & Administrator

    Sonia is a PA and Administrator who for ten years has supported the senior management and staff at the Practice, as well as clients and contractors. She has substantial experience in the Construction Industry, having previously worked for two other local building companies.

  • Sophie English
    Sophie English PR & Marketing

    Sophie is responsible for the management of the company website and social media.
